3 out of 5 stars Pitfall the lost expidition   June 24, 2008
Before I say anymore, I want to tell everyone NOT to take my three star rating too seriously. This rating was specific to my experience, and more specificly, my gaming ability. I am fairly new at this kind of gaming, as I usually play pc games only. I used to play the original version of Pitfall, years ago, and remember it fondly. I like the grafix, and Harry's personality a lot. I am having a difficult time getting past the beginning after the crocodiles. I would recommend the game to anyone who is fairly experienced in gameing, or who has time to figure things out. I can tell that it will be a lot of fun once I get a little better at it.

4 out of 5 stars very adventureous   January 7, 2008
I got this video game for my kids, aged 7, 9, 14, & 16, and they have all enjoyed playing it. My 7 year old has a harder time, but it's just because he doesn't know what to do. My 9 year old loves it, and I must say I sit and watch him and it makes me want to play. It's a great adventure game, with lots to explore, that isn't fast and it's easy to understand. You get hooked on it. I am happy that I got it, and would recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 stars Son's favorite videogame   January 7, 2008
I could'nt be more pleased with this purchase. I remember enjoying the old ATARI Pitfall game when I was a kid, but this version by ACTIVISION is far superior. It has some of the same type moves, such as swinging on vines, jumping over pits, and avoiding being eaten by crocs and scorpions. There are some new moves, too, like special kicks, and using a sling shot. Harry can earn special tools, too.

The graphics are 100x better than the old Pitfall. There are beautiful jungle scenes, temple ruins, and snowy mountains.

A few notes: 1) this is strictly a one player game. 2) I strongly suggest purchasing the memory card for playstation 2. Otherwise, you cannot save your progress.

5 out of 5 stars Great game...   July 20, 2007
I am not a video game person, myself, but I picked out this game for my brother for his birthday and he let me play it once and I was addicted. It's not gory or shoot-em-up and the setting is in the wilderness. I never got bored with this. My sister doesn't like video games either, and she sat with me while I played it every day just to watch.

5 out of 5 stars Loved It!!!   April 10, 2007
This was the best game Ive played in along time. The graphics were excellent. Very fun and exciting through out the whole game! Cant wait to start over and play it again!
