Is fun if you like a fantasy pinball game. May 28, 2008 The game is fun hence the How much fun is this game is a full 5 stars.
But I don't like fantasy pinball games so I only gave an overall rating of 2 stars.
I am more into the real table pinball games like the Pinball Hall of Fame The Gottlieb Collection
And the Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection
Those two are very true to the original pinball machines in both graphics and sounds!
Flippers Have a Delay May 26, 2008 i was very excited to play this game, and it is visually awesome to look at, but extremely frustrating! there is a definite delay between when you hit the button and the flipper actually moves! several seconds! i had to give up planning shots, and just hit the buttons repeatedly. i'm surprised no one else has mentioned this in a review, it would have been helpful. i've since seen the same comment on other websites, and i wish i would've seen it before purchasing.
Frustratingly Entertaining May 19, 2008 If you like doing tedious things over and over until you scream so loud that your neighbors hear you, you'll love this game. It took me back to the old classic Nintendo days, when you had to do 20 minutes worth of annoying goals to get to a boss, just to lose in 30 seconds and have to do it all over again. By your 4th or 5th attempt, screaming commences.
But it is still a fun, original game. The difficulty is OK, I just don't care for tedious goals.
might have been fun April 14, 2008 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
I never played it as some savages broke into my house and stole this and other games and my PS3. I hope they die a long painful genital related death
Not for real pinball fanatics September 5, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was hoping for more of a traditional Pinball game. This wasn't it. Although the Graphics and Physics are comparable, it quickly becomes just another idiot box. Being a 58 year old Pinball fanatic for about 48 years I have come to enjoy the finer skills of Pinball such as catching the ball, passing it from one flipper to the next, bankshots, etc.. Although you can do those things with this game, they serve no benifit. You are better off just to flip away. You don't have to worry about low scores, getting extra balls is so easy it is almost automatic, in fact after an hour or two of playing the same game, I purposely just let my balls drop just to be able to post a score. It seems that you spend more time watching the ball travel around the field and going from one level to the next than actually flipping which in my opinion, makes this game more of a roller coaster ride than a pinball game. I suppose there are some people this game would appeal to, the graphics are adequate and the actual ball physics are pretty accurate accept that you don't seem to be able to control the english or rather the spin of the ball off the flipper.
